Delayed or Lost Bags
- Baggage delays are caused by various factors such as errors in the baggage handling system, delays in air traffic control, airport facilities, weather, and maintenance issues. Korean Air strives to provide prompt tracking and delivery in case of delayed baggage.
- Please notify Korean Air staff immediately of any baggage delay, and we will do our best to resolve the issue by filing a baggage delay report.
Precautions before filing a report
- Delayed or lost bags must be reported to the carrier within 21 days from when you checked the baggage to the airline.
- For delayed or lost bags filing, baggage claim tags are required.
- Upon delayed arriving of the baggage, a daily necessity fee around USD50 will be paid 1 time per person.
