Codeshare flights are flights with a Korean Air flight number that are operated by other airlines. Korean Air has codeshare agreements with 36 airlines to comfortably carry passengers to the greatest number of destinations in the least amount of connection time possible.

On codeshare flights, the aircraft for boarding and in-flight services are provided by the partner airlines. Therefore, check-in closing time and other services are subject to the regulations of the operating airline. However, please check baggage policy details for codeshare flights in advance as they are subject to the bilateral codeshare agreement.

  • Book flights and make changes on the Korean Air website or mobile app

  • Use check-in counter of the operating airline

  • Baggage regulations and check-in closing time vary by airline. Please check with the operating airline.

  • Mileage is earned based on the Korean Air flight number and booking class.

  • Checked baggage regulations of the marketing or operating airline apply in accordance with the codeshare agreement between participating airlines.
  • Full details on free baggage allowance can be found on the e-ticket itinerary after purchase.
  • Regulations on free baggage allowance and excess baggage may differ from those of Korean Air on codeshare flights and connecting flights with other airlines. Please check in advance via the Korean Air Service Center.
