Ticket Refund

An unused ticket can be refunded. The following information is required for ticket refunds.

Request and Time Limit

  • Refunds can be made through your travel agency, Korean Air Service Center, branch office, or on the our website, depending on the place of purchase.
  • Ticket refund applications must be submitted within 30 days from the expiration date of your ticket.

Required Documents

Refund applications must be submitted by the ticket holder. Additional documents are required for refund applications by representatives.

Mandatory

  • e-ticket itinerary (Itinerary & Receipt)
  • Photo ID of customer

Additional

  • Application by representative
  • If the ticket holder is a minor
    • ID of legal representative
    • Proof-of-family documents

Receiving Refunds

  • For tickets purchased with cash, the refund amount is deposited into the ticket holder’s bank account.
  • Tickets purchased via credit card are not refundable in cash. The refund amount is sent to the credit card company for subsequent transfer to your account in accordance with its policy.
  • The time it takes to receive refunds for tickets purchased via credit card varies by credit card transaction date and processing period of the credit card company. Please contact your credit card company two to five business days after the refund is approved.
