Purchase flight ticket and additional services with Korean Air mileage.
Before Redeeming Mileage for Award Tickets
- Award Tickets can be issued at Korean Air website, Service Centers and branch offices.
- Award Tickets issued from Korean Air Service Centers, branch office or airport office may be subject to Ticket Handling Charge.
- Mileage endorsement from/to a registered family member and Family Plan (pooling mileage among registered family members) is allowed to issue Award Tickets.
- To issue awards at the airport using Family Plan, please complete family member registration and obtain mileage pooling authorization beforehand via Korean Air website, mobile app, Service Center, or any branch office (excluding airport).
Validity Period
The validity of an Award Ticket is one year from the date of issue, and further extension is not allowed.
Conditions
- Award Tickets can only be issued for Korean Air operated flights with Korean Air flight numbers.
- Codeshare flights operated by other airlines may be restricted for Award Tickets.
- Award Tickets require payment of applicable carrier-imposed fees,taxes, and fees.
- Award Tickets must be used in sequence. Otherwise, the remaining flights may be denied boarding.
- Only transfers within 24 hours are allowed at the destination.
- You can also use your Award Tickets to purchase a separate seat to store your musical instrument on board or to purchase any additional seats.
Infants and Children
- The same redemption table applies to infants occupying a seat and children.
- If traveling international routes without occupying a seat, 10% of the redemption table applies to infants. If traveling Korea domestic routes without occupying a seat, infants can travel free of charge.
How to Issue
- Website/App
- After logging in, a member can issue Award Tickets for himself/herself and registered family members. A member can also issue Award ticket for himself/herself by pooling registered family members’ mileage.
- Service Center
- Upon authentication, a member can issue Award Tickets for himself/herself and registered family members. A member can also issue Award ticket for himself/herself by pooling registered family members’ mileage.
- Branch Office
- If a member himself/herself pays a visit, an Award Ticket can be issued by redeeming the member’s own mileage upon presenting proof of identity.
- If a beneficiary or a third party pays a visit, the following documents are required to issue an Award Ticket: proof of identity of a member whose mileage is redeemed, proof of identity of a beneficiary/third person and SKYPASS Award Application signed by both a member and a beneficiary/third person.
- If a member whose mileage is redeemed is a minor (under 19 years of age), the following documents are additionally required to issue an Award Ticket: proof of identity of a member whose mileage is redeemed, proof of identity of a legal representative of a minor member and SKYPASS Award Application signed by both a member and a legal representative.
Note
- Award Tickets cannot be used on North America - Guam routes via Korea.
- If traveling international routes in connection with Korea domestic routes, additional miles will be required for Korea domestic routes.
- In order to guarantee prompt and stable service, Award Tickets using Family Plan cannot be issued at the airport.
