Rail & Fly

Korean Air offers an airline-railway connection service enabling passengers flying on the Seoul–Frankfurt/Amsterdam route to take local trains at little cost (Deutsche Bahn and BeNe Netherlands Belgium Rail).

  • BeNe Netherlands Belgium Rail is a Belgian-Dutch international railway brand. You can use the National Railway Company of Belgium (Dutch: NMBS, French: SNCB) and Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).

Eligibility

  • Deutsche Bahn
    • Passengers flying with Korean Air from Incheon to Frankfurt and onwards to other major German cities
    • Passengers flying with Korean Air from major German cities to Incheon via Frankfurt
  • BeNe Netherlands Belgium Rail
    • Passengers traveling with Korean Air from Incheon to Amsterdam and onward to Brussels or Antwerp
    • Passengers flying with Korean Air from Brussels or Antwerp to Incheon via Amsterdam

Note

  • Award ticket holders are not eligible to use the service.

Cities where service is available

  • Germany
    • Major German cities connected to the Frankfurt Airport long-distance station via Deutsche Bahn
  • Belgium
    • Brussels and Antwerp, both connected to the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport train station via National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB) and Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).
  • Service may be limited for special trains, such as Thalys, DB AutoZug and night trains among others.

How to Request

  • You can purchase tickets with railway service for Korean Air’s Frankfurt and Amsterdam routes on the Korean Air website or through your travel agency.
  • The train tickets are valid for the day of arrival or the day after of Incheon one-way Frankfurt/Amsterdam flights, and on the day of departure or the day before of Amsterdam/Frankfurt one-way Incheon flights.
  • Upon purchasing the flight ticket and applying for the Rail & Fly service, please check in for your train on the online check-in site below from 72 hours prior to train departure based on local European time.
  • For a small fee, you can select a train seat in advance on the Deutsche Bahn website or using an automatic ticket machine at the railway station.
    • However, advance reservation may not be available for Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
